Creation of Rama Rajya: Kingdom of God for Saving the World from the Impending Catastrophic Global Environmental Crises

Dear Friends,

We must know that:

(1) The present fundamentally unspiritual and greed for wealth and lust for pleasures based, extremely Eco-hostile, rural-hostile, agro-hostile, unsustainable and inherently self-destructive out-and-out consumerist culture of industrialization and urbanization of our modern civilization, has caused disappearance of tens of thousands of our animal and plant species and continues to cause greater and greater violence to our ecologically, aesthetically and religiously invaluable natural eco-systems of mother Earth, which has catastrophic consequences for our masses, future generations and the dumb and deaf life-world. Mahatma Gandhi rightly considered it to be satanic, suicidal and a nine-day wonder only. According to a WHO report released on 11th October 2021, globally more than 18 thousand 5 hundred people die every day due to air pollution caused by fossil fuels. According to the Living Planet report 2022 of WWF, about 69 percent of the wildlife population has declined in the last 50 years, and in the near future many more wildlife species will disappear if global warming continues to increase at the present rate. Albert Einstein rightly said: "If the bee disappears from the surface of the Earth, man will have no more than four years to live."

(2) We must transform India into an enlightened/rational kingdom/country of ethical righteousness/goodness (Rama Rajya / Kingdom of God) to save India and through it the world at large.

In the context of our present age of science and technology, it means in the language of Swami Vivekananda, a synthesis of Western science and technology and traditional Indian spiritual wisdom. ( If the science and technology of the West and the spiritual wisdom of the East meet then the world will become a heaven on Earth.)

It means creating a fundamentally ethics-based, Eco-friendly, village-friendly, agro-friendly Gandhian loving and caring nonviolent culture of development.

(3) The Gandhian profoundly ethics-based, Eco-friendly, village-friendly, agro-friendly, sustainable, equitable, loving and caring non-violent culture of decentralised industrialization and urbanization, which is based on the fundamental ethics of all great religions as well as of our great living ancient civilization in the context of our present technological age, is the surest and perhaps the only surest permanent solution available to us to avoid the impending man-made catastrophic global ecological crises, including the crisis of global warming and climate change, along with the present all-pervasive, deep-rooted global moral and spiritual crises. Village Swaraj constitutes its core and natural/organic farming constitutes the core of the Gandhian Village Swaraj.

(4) Village Swaraj is not possible without the rejuvenation and preservation of our great river mothers and their sources our great mountains and forests, which is necessary for ensuring permanent food, water, air and health security to our masses, future generations and our fellow dumb-and-deaf lower forms of life. Rejuvenation and preservation of our National River mother Ganga and her source the Himalayas would certainly be a major step in the right direction for the rejuvenation and preservation of our other great river mothers and their sources, which are all in the process of slow death.

We must have a Gandhian Mass Satyagraha for the rejuvenation and preservation of our great river mothers and their sources our great mountains and forests, and also for the transformation of our rural India into a heaven for leading an enlightened / rational ethical life of simple living and high thinking with loving care of the invaluable natural eco-systems systems of Mother Nature. It would certainly be a major step in the right direction to save India and through it the world at large from the impending catastrophic global environmental crises, including the crisis of global warming and climate change, along with the present all-pervasive and deep-rooted global moral and spiritual crises.
